The Position: Due to the continued growth of the College, we are seeking an Interim Head of Learning Module (Years 3 to 4) to join our Christ-centred community at our Werribee Campus.
This position will include a position of responsibility, which involves a .5 FTE of teaching and .5 FTE leadership.
The position will be for a fixed 12-month Term, 2025 school year.
The Person: The Interim Head of Learning Module will be a skilled educator within the teaching profession with a minimum Degree in Education and will have a demonstrated commitment to the Lordship of Christ in all areas of their life and be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the achievement of the College's mission and educational direction.
Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in educational curriculum development or leadership, a master's in education, and will have an ability to model the school's values in daily life.
An ability to work with parents and guardians effectively.
An ability to identify and minimise risks to child safety.
A consistent demonstration of management integrity and honesty.
Experience in managing complex pastoral issues relating to students' wellbeing.
Capacity to select and use appropriately a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students.
Professional Attributes: Ability to lead, inspire, support, and encourage students through teaching from a Christian worldview.
Actively contributes to Heathdale Christian College's team culture by displaying humility, a desire for excellence, a strong sense of self-awareness, and collaboration.
Demonstrate a high level of communication, professional, and interpersonal skills when relating to teachers, students, parents, and colleagues.
Participate in the understanding of the College's Christian philosophy of education and its practical outworking through the professional development of staff.
