Intensive Care Paramedic Fixed Term and Casual Employment RegisterAustralia, TasAug 7, 2023Medicine Casual, Full-timeAbout the Tasmanian State ServiceThe Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.The Intensive Care Paramedic Employment Register is established to provide the Department of Health with a pool of experienced and skilled people who are able to work at short notice. Interested persons are able to submit their application to be considered for Intensive Care Paramedic duties on a fixed-term basis. This Register will remain open to applicants until 30 June 2025 and will be reviewed on a regular basis.DutiesAttend to members of the community requiring clinical care and treatment via ambulance services.Independently or as part of a team, deliver an advanced level of pre-hospital clinical care in accordance with approved clinical guidelines.Provide relief at outer-urban and Branch stations as required within established guidelines.Complete all relevant documentation with respect to clinical services, training provided and changes to the working environment and equipment.Maintain constant contact with the State Communications Centre, in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania (AT) policies and protocols.Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science and relevant work experience or other qualification approved by the Service.Current Driver Licence.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
