The hospital encompasses 181 beds, 6 operating theatres, 10 bed ICU, with associated rehabilitation, medical and surgical Wards.
Our services include two major medical centres, a dedicated mental health unit, an on-site cancer centre including radiation oncology, radiology practice and pathology laboratory.

Your new role as ICU Nurse Unit Manager We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and innovative registered nurse to join the hospital's clinical leadership team as the Nurse Unit Manager of Intensive Care on a permanent full-time basis.
Nurse Unit Manager responsibilities include monthly, weekly and daily intensive care workforce planning, daily operational management in particular matching and allocating nursing staff and fiscal resources to meet the needs of our patients whilst focusing on maximising operational efficiencies and meeting stakeholder expectations.
The position will be called upon to contribute to the strategic planning of the unit.
The ideal candidate will possess an expert level of knowledge and experience to be a source of expert clinical knowledge to lead the Intensive Care Unit.
Essential is the ability to display highly developed leadership skills and the fortitude needed to manage and lead a team in a busy and expanding service by promoting and role modeling patient centered care and intensive care best practice.
They will have experience and innovative ideas in how to support the intensive care team through clinical leadership, role modelling and mentorship strategies whilst promoting personal and professional accountability of all team members.
About you (essential criteria): Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.Current unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), GeneralMinimum 5 years critical care clinical experienceRelevant postgraduate qualifications in critical care nursingDemonstrated commitment to professional developmentSound understanding of clinical governance as relevant to intensive care services and hospital managementStrong leadership and mentoring skillsDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, clinical policies and accreditation programs relating to ACHS clinical standardsStrong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated computer skills in relevant hospital management programs as well as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & OutlookImmunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health.Previous nursing / healthcare leadership experiencePrevious experience relieving Nursing Unit Manager rolesApplications must address and meet essential criteria.
