Primary objective: Provide a high level of intelligence support to the Territory Intelligence Division.
Context statement: Quality intelligence produced within the Territory Intelligence unit supports the operational and strategic level decision-making of the NT Police and partner agencies. The advertised position is responsible for assisting with supporting intelligence efforts through administrative support to divisional priorities.
Key duties and responsibilities: Utilises a wide variety of information sources, including databases, human and community sources, open source material, covert and technical sources.Remains cognisant of national and local security considerations including personnel, information and physical security when accessing, using, storing and sharing information.Provides ongoing data, administrative and analytical support in response to emerging or significant events or incidents.Provides ongoing support to Territory Intelligence Division priorities including intelligence operations and general support.Selection criteria: Essential: Demonstrated administrative and analytical skills with attention to detail when interpreting and inputting data.Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective communication with stakeholders at all levels of government.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise commitments and meet critical competing deadlines while maintaining quality standards.The ability to obtain a National Security Clearance NV1.Desirable: A demonstrated understanding of intelligence principles and high proficiency in the use of current NTPFES Information and mainframe systems.Qualifications in Administrative, Intelligence or Information Technology field.Further information: The successful applicant must consent to a probity and Police Criminal History Check including criminal records and intelligence data to confirm they have no adverse holdings and/or significant criminal history that would preclude them from accessing national law enforcement and intelligence systems.
