The team at Triple Zero Victoria is deeply committed to the community it serves and is among the most dedicated and highly skilled in its field.About the RoleThe Business Intelligence Specialist is a key and active participant of the Governance, Strategy and Intelligence Department.In this role, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
You will work closely with various stakeholders and areas to understand their data needs and develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations that support strategic initiatives.
You will provide clear, accurate and appropriate information, research and analysis to the organisation in order to provide the right advice at the right time for evidence-based decision making.The Business Intelligence Specialist will also analyse outcomes for TZV business performance and develop and integrate intelligence offerings to meet business, stakeholder and community expectations.Day to day responsibilities include:Responsible for monitoring and researching performance trends and providing advice on key factors influencing operations performance and scope key areas for improvement within business functions.Responsible for the provision of subject matter expertise relating to performance analysis methodologies and systems.Oversee the coordination and proactive collection of information using all available intelligence sources, and ensure these actions align with strategic and operational priorities.Provide written business insights papers for internal and external stakeholders as required on current or future trends in the emergency service sector.Build, foster and maintain productive relationships with TZV, government, emergency services and regulatory stakeholders.About YouThe preferred candidate will have extensive experience in the provision of business intelligence, data analysis, information analytics and integration and will have the following attributes and skills:Ability to dissect complex data sets, identify patterns, and understand the underlying business to create insight.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex data sets; confirm the reliability of the data sources, question assumptions, and draw sound conclusions that support business strategies or debunk beliefs.Ability to translate data into information and intelligence inputs and outputs.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.A Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, IT or related discipline.What We Can Offer YouYou will be supporting a critical service to the Victorian community and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and employee benefits including:Employee assistance program for employees and eligible family members.Discounted health insurance, banking services and gym membership.'Memberlink' discount card, accepted by 1,000's of retailers and services providers.Free staff parking at all our sites.Salary packaging options after an initial service period.Triple Zero Victoria is committed to the principles of equal opportunity, and diversity and inclusion for all.
