Provide high level expertise to CVIU Management in managing and leading projects.Ongoing full time opportunity within Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit.The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Intelligence Practice Lead to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit Corrections Victoria Intelligence Service (CVIS) is the overarching intelligence service for Corrections Victoria (CV), Justice Services and Youth Justice. The CVIS is comprised of the primary intelligence unit known as the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit (CVIU), and localised prison intelligence units located at the public and private prison facilities in Victoria.
About the Role The position of Intelligence Practice Lead is within the CVIU and has a primary role of leading the development and implementation of appropriate governance, intelligence frameworks and systems, as well as professional development training to improve the performance of intelligence services across the Youth Justice and adult correctional system. This provides high level strategic advice to CVIU leadership, develops and implements strategy, and manages intelligence development projects.
The role location is flexible between CVIU headquarters at Statewide Services Building in Ravenhall, 50 Franklin Street Melbourne and Youth Justice facilities. There will be a requirement to attend other locations as part of this position's responsibilities.
Some of your duties will include:
Provide high level strategic advice to the CVIU leadership, manage and lead the development and implementation of leading-edge intelligence practices, policies and procedures to improve the performance of intelligence services in Youth Justice and the adult correctional system.Manage and lead the delivery of projects from concept design, development, transition and implementation including the preparation of complex reports, briefings and presentations to influence senior stakeholders to achieve project objectives.Develop and implement strategies to improve and standardise intelligence practice. About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Knowledge of the Youth Justice and adult correctional systems and key issues impacting the systems.Knowledge of contemporary principles and practises that apply to intelligence functions within the criminal justice system and across intelligence agencies.Plan, monitor and manage projects within a legislative framework to time and budget (desirable).Ability to develop systems and analyse data from a range of sources to evaluate and improve service delivery (desirable).Qualifications An existing Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance, otherwise one must be obtained within 12 months of employment.Relevant tertiary qualifications or thematic knowledge.Working knowledge of the Centurion Intelligence System, Ejustice, PIMS, Microsoft Office and the Prisoner Telephone System (desirable).How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
