As an Intelligence or Technical Intelligence Assessment Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a small team of analysts to deliver impactful results. You will collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders, fostering relationships across DIO, broader Government, and international partners.
You will also analyse information from diverse sources, providing intelligence assessments that directly inform decision makers. You will have access to unique and highly desirable training and professional development opportunities, and possible travel.
A merit pool of highly suitable candidates will be established to fill EL 1 vacancies that occur in DIO within the next 18 months.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. You will leverage your broad knowledge, experience, and professional networks to demonstrate your ability to anticipate and support the needs of DIO's diverse customer set. You will also have a demonstrated ability to operate effectively within high-pressure environments.

You also will be highly aware of DIO's place in government and its primary goals, anticipating opportunities and proposing strategies to address them.
Security Clearance
Prior to commencement, successful applicants will be required to undergo a psychological assessment and an extensive security clearance process. As a Positive Vetting clearance is required, applicants must be Australian Citizens; be able to account for their personal background for their whole life; and be able to demonstrate suitability to work in a high security intelligence environment.
