The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an Intelligence and Analytics Officer to provide a critical role within Emergency Management Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Emergency Management, within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the Department) works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The group is led by the Deputy Secretary, Emergency Management.
The Emergency Management group is comprised of passionate and dedicated people, with our recent People Matters Survey showing 90% of our staff feel that they achieve something important through their work.
About the Role
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) leads emergency management in Victoria by working with government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
Some of your duties will include:
Actively support workplace culture and practices that achieve EMV's strategic objectives.
Support the collection of information on the current and forecast state-wide situation through the observation and monitoring of operational intelligence platforms.
Support the processing of that information into timely, accurate and relevant intelligence.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Technical Expertise
Exposure or knowledge of the intelligence lifecycle, including data sourcing, analysis, storage and management will be well regarded.
Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's emergency management arrangements is desirable.
