About the teamThe Integrity Culture team sits within the Risk and Integrity Culture Section in the Integrity Branch. The section is comprised of people working in Canberra and across Australia. The integrity culture team has an exciting work program to uplift institutional integrity culture in the department and deliver on the actions included within the department's integrity strategy and on integrity aspects of broader APS reform work within the department. The team provides advice and support in conjunction with our branch colleagues on a range of integrity matters. The team delivers integrity related training and events, including the department's annual integrity month.

Uplift of integrity is a key focus of the government and you will assist with the department's efforts to ensure the department has a strong integrity culture. This is meaningful work and will make a long-term difference to the department. This is a part time role (2.5 days per week, or 18.75 hours) and the team can generally work around the hours that suit you. However, you will receive advance notice of required in-office days for events.

Experience assisting with events management is desirable but not essential.

What you will doThe Integrity Culture Support Officer will provide administrative assistance and support to the team to deliver key aspects of the department's Integrity Strategy. Tasks can involve assisting with the coordination of events such as the Integrity Branch's hypothetical series and bespoke integrity training for SES and APS staff. You will be involved in communications activities, such as organising filming of integrity content and work with the department's integrity champion to further uplift our integrity culture.

You will assist with the tracking of work against the integrity strategy action plan, as well as the APS Integrity Taskforce recommendations.

Key tasks for this position include:

Daily inbox management and arranging meetings as required.

Work with the team to deliver the actions in the DISR Integrity Strategy 2023-25.

Providing advice and support to the department on integrity matters.

Assist with the coordination and delivery of 'hypothetical' sessions.

Assist with the coordination and promotion of integrity training.

Support the DISR Integrity Champion.

Ad-hoc work as required, including drafting emails and communications material.

EligibilityTo be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.

NotesThe department does offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy can be based in Canberra or anywhere in Australia. Flexible and remote work arrangements will be considered.
