Purpose of the role The purpose of the role is to drive new business growth in Maersk's business across the Retail, Lifestyle and FMCG verticals. The Integrated Sales Manager will ensure the accomplishment of the sales targets and drive the product sales expertise to optimize team results. The role will be accountable for sales strategy, sales processes and achieving sales revenue targets across all sales channels and will be responsible for business development strategy & planning which includes, identifying, evaluating and negotiating new sales and market growth opportunities.
Responsibilities: Delivery as per Area Budget and Team EngagementDeliver the sales budget of direct report roll upDrive culture and initiatives to increase engagement among Melbourne team membersManage and grow 1-2 major accounts directly in a Key Account Manager scopeManage cadence of meetings and coaching conversations with direct reportsAct as 2IC to Head of VerticalsSupport team members in local customer engagement and relationship managementDrive best-in-class pipeline hygiene and sales call governance with direct reportsCustomer Satisfaction and Stakeholder EngagementActively monitor local NPS with the vertical/segment and drive local improvement to improve customer satisfaction and drive overall continuous improvement opportunitiesActively provide feedback to the sales channel or vertical lead based on customer feedback and insightsClosely collaborate with internal teams across the area/region to develop product knowledge and enhance sales skillsWhat we are looking for: 5+ years in a customer facing sales role within the freight forwarding or logistics industryProven success in developing and winning new customer business through both personal and collaborative team selling effortsDemonstrated leadership experienceStrong presence and ability to communicate and engage with key stakeholders across multiple levels of customer organizationAble to achieve results through result-oriented strategy driven by teamwork and collaborationAbility to build strategic and consultative partnerships with customers while maintaining a strong sense of empathyExcellent influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skillsPreferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks as well as pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check.
