About the opportunityAs an Integrated Family Services Specialist Disability Support worker, you will use a strength-based approach to promote the safety, stability and development of vulnerable children, young people and their families, with a focus on building capacity and resilience.
In this role, your aim is to enhance parenting capacity and skills, parent-child relationships, child development, and social connectedness incorporating the additional complexities of complex needs and the NDIS service sector.

About youIf you are curious with a desire to learn about our families experiences and can be imaginative in finding solutions using the families strengths to guide them forward then this could be the role for you.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary Qualifications in human services, disability, welfare, social work desirable however relevant experience will be considered.
Current eligible motor vehicle license to drive in Australia
A sound knowledge of the underlying principles of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
Knowledge of the statutory requirements related to working with young people and their families.
Demonstrated experience working with young people and families
An understanding of the complex issues that may lead to families needing support of family services
An understanding of the relevant legislation and current policy relating to the care of children and families
