This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and reporting on strategies for communications in one of SAP's most significant Market Units (MUs) - Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), with a focus on executive and employee engagement approaches.
You will create cross-audience external and internal communications plans based on SAP business objectives and the Global Communications strategy and plan.
You will manage relationships with multiple stakeholder and influencer groups to ensure alignment and efficiencies across the breadth of SAP.
A key part of the role is to educate, set, and communicate clear communications strategies and priorities with these groups, to ensure maximum communications impact.

This role builds and manages a strong framework of processes and reporting mechanisms that will ensure the ANZ communications function is delivering excellent outcomes, maintaining high standards of accuracy and business alignment, and is scaling effectively to support the business.

In alignment with the VP Communications APJ and working within the integrated Southeast Asia (SEA) and ANZ communications team, you will set annual plans and goals for ANZ, rolling up to regional and global priorities and KPIs.
Additionally, there is scope to create and lead cross-market programmes, rolling out communications approaches across both ANZ and SEA.
You are also responsible for reporting against the goals and progress against them quarter by quarter using SignalAI, our global reporting tool, to measure and analyse results; and use learnings and insights to drive a culture of continuous growth and excellence.

The successful candidate will have close interaction and partnership with the APJ communications team, the global communications team; ANZ and SEA marketing teams and the ANZ and SEA MU Senior Executive Team; and across employee networks.

Accountability
The successful end-to-end communications strategy in ANZ, with a particular focus on executive and employee engagement communications.

Complexity
The operational link between the company's overall strategy, the specific market opportunities and challenges in SEA and ANZ, and the communications priorities.

Realization of multiple high impact initiatives towards broad corporate goals.

Experience
Able to set, communicate, and bring others along on a clear course to drive agreed outcomes in a fast-paced and often-changing landscape.

Understanding of the business and media landscapes in Australia and New Zealand.

Experience managing a budget transparently and to ensure maximum outcomes for investment.
Skilled at fully leveraging available resources to drive the best results for ANZ.

Experience in crisis communications and evolving regulatory requirements in ANZ.

Experience in executive communications and developing and managing employee engagement content strategies in ANZ.

Able to interpret reports and data, and to apply insights and learnings to continue to tweak the annual plan as appropriate through the year.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Aligning, integrating and focusing communications strategy using the most impactful formats and channels, in concert with global and corporate objectives as well as regional and local needs.
Deriving key communications objectives and strategies to support business objectives and strategies in consultation with internal stakeholders.
Working with different internal business functions and teams, such as marketing, to drive successful, integrated campaigns.
Rigorous in ability to plan ahead where possible, and to communicate, discuss, and share plans internally.
Building and coaching communications messages and selecting communications topics of focus to internal stakeholders.
Driving creation of employee engagement content and strategies to leverage employee engagement channels to share important programmes and messages.
Proven ability to counsel senior management in the capacity of highly trusted advisor and respected subject matter expert on area(s) of expertise.
Managing resourcing, staffing and budgets.
Being hands-on as needed to personally develop and maintain relationships with tier one media, analysts, and influencers; to lead media events; and to coach and supervise spokespeople in media engagements.
Channel the results of measurements as well as other outside-in intelligence (incl.
media coverage analysis) into the processes for building the SEA and ANZ communications strategy.
Review and analyse impact, and adjust plans and content as necessary, keeping an open and agile mindset.
Experience & Language Requirements
8+ years of experience in hands-on design and implementation of communications concepts and plans.
Experience in delivering integrated communications approaches to more than one influencer type (media, bloggers, analyst, governments officials, employee communications).
English is either your native language or you have excellent English writing and editing skills.
Several years of people management or (virtual) leadership responsibility, along with a good understanding of human resources processes.
Experience in change management communications, stakeholder management and employee engagement communications.
Professional communicator who is not shy to express opinions and consult others on communications activities.
Excellent diplomatic and networking skills.
Understanding of IT and business software market; know-how of SAP products; enthusiasm for technology and what it can achieve for the communities we work in.
Experience and affinity for new media and new communications technologies.
Comfortable with interpreting and contextualising implications of corporate strategy for the local activation of various communications disciplines.
Editorial experience a big plus.
Education
College and/or University Degree desired (or equivalent education).
