Position Summary: Reporting to the Outreach & Recruitment Manager, the Intake & Recruitment Specialist plays an integral role in promoting OBT's mission, programs/services, and brand on a local community level. With a specific focus on the South Brooklyn area, responsibilities include developing multiple layers of engagement and outreach for the organization. This involves coordinating the program intake process, which includes reviewing eligibility documentation, scheduling appointments, and completing the initial enrollment paperwork. Additionally, sharing and promoting information on OBT's youth and adult programs is also part of the role. The ideal candidate should be an outgoing individual who embraces public speaking opportunities, possesses robust networking skills, exhibits strong administrative skills, and demonstrates a keen interest in community engagement. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Provide outreach and recruitment support across all sites and programs. Work collaboratively to ensure program enrollment outcomes are met. Conduct comprehensive outreach ensuring that the agency's set cohort recruitment targets are successfully achieved. Participate in community-wide events (street fairs, festivals, meetings, etc.) to effectively promote all OBT programs. Conduct informational presentations for external partners and referrals. Assist with developing OBT's outreach and recruitment strategy. Generate viable leads from tabling and outreach events for all OBT Programs. Follow up with leads generated from online interest forms/event contacts/partner referrals and direct them to the appropriate site/program. Assist in obtaining content, such as photos and quotes, for OBT's marketing platforms upon request. Communicate with and engage organizations to share information about upcoming program enrollment opportunities. Assist and take part in OBT special events as requested. Assist in collecting eligibility documents. Organize and maintain participant folders to ensure compliance with contractual guidelines. Perform initial data entry, update, and maintain electronic and paper applicant files, including making appropriate entries into the applicant databases. Generate and submit Daily Activity Reports and Event Summary reports as requested. Conduct comprehensive training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure that all staff members acquire a thorough understanding of OBT's programs, recruitment goals, and deliverables. Perform all other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. A passionate commitment to OBT's mission and vision. The ability to establish strong working relationships with team members, colleagues, participants, and external stakeholders. Strong skill set in data management and data tracking. Must be able to demonstrate experience managing data collection, analysis, and reporting. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. A high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point, One Note) required. Must possess strong customer service and platform skills. High degree of integrity, professionalism, and punctuality for all events. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Fluency in two or more languages is desirable. Strong public speaking and communication skills. Experience with Salesforce or other databases preferred. Education and Experience/Training: Experience working with youth and adults.
