Intake Officer - Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB)Duration: Full time, fixed term until 30 June 2025Base Salary: $70,754 to $75,914 per annum (Admin 3.1 to 3.4)Darwin's only Aboriginal community-controlled health service6 weeks annual leave + 5 paid days during Christmas shutdownOngoing opportunity with career growth pathwaysThe Intake Officer - SEWB provides high-quality, secretarial, and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient delivery of SEWB services.Who are we?Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.About the roleThe Intake Officer - SEWB provides high-quality, secretarial, and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient delivery of SEWB services within clinics and to the community.Responsibilities:First point of contact from internal/external stakeholders regarding waitlists and referrals.Maintain and manage SEWB referral emails.Maintain and manage the intake of referrals, ensuring administrative checks such as health checks, GP (general practitioners) management plans, and other SEWB requirements of entry into the program are met before collating referrals for intake meetings.Organise and coordinate intake meetings, e.g., minutes, documenting, and reporting, managing the registers and action lists to track and report the activity.Contribute to and follow policies and procedures relevant to Communicare.Monitor waitlists and outstanding referrals and report anomalies.Secretariat support for SEWB managers assisting with, but not limited to, work instructions and purchase orders.To be successful you will need:Demonstrated two or more years of experience working in an administrative role requiring confidentiality, initiative, integrity, and sound judgment.Experience in administrative procedures for managing documents and maintaining records.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with varied internal and external stakeholders across various cultures and professional groups.Highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.Ability to work independently with strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks to deliver outcomes within tight timelines.Demonstrated high-level computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to use clinical practice software.Qualification or working towards a qualification in Health Administration.Demonstrated experience and competency in working with Communicare.Experience in working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service or similar complex environment.What we offer:6 weeks annual leave per annum.5 days paid leave during our end of year shutdown period (on top of annual leave).Salary packaging of up to $15,990 per annum.For further information please contact Jessica Pocock (Acting Senior Manager - SEWB) 08 8942 54***Employment with DDHS is subject to a police check, a current NT working with children's card, CPR certificate, and full vaccination against COVID-19, or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).Only those with full working rights will be considered for this position.
