Come join us at Eastern Health!About the Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (ECASA)ECASA provides free counselling and advocacy services to adults and young people/children in the Eastern Region who have experienced sexual assault recently and in the past. The model of care includes the provision of crisis and short to medium term counselling, group work, professional consultation, and professional and community education programs.About the roleECASA welcomes applications from appropriately qualified Social Workers or Psychologists to join our intake and Focused Intervention team. These rewarding roles require a strong commitment to trauma-informed collaborative practice and an empowerment and victim's rights-based approach to recovery. ECASA provides a supportive, connected and positive team culture with a well embedded supervision and professional development program. There is an opportunity for clinicians to increase their knowledge and experience in the sexual assault area and workers who are new to the sector are provided additional professional development opportunities. The roles require availability for after-hours on-call duties.About youTo be successful in this role you should have the following:An appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work or PsychologyExperience in sexual assault and/or family violence or mental health, with an understanding of trauma assessment and treatment.An understanding of the dynamics and impact of sexual assault related to adults and young people/children.A respectful, compassionate, innovative, and reflective approach with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those impacted by sexual assault.Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.
