MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.

MHDAS is entering a new phase of co-design of our service system with people who access our services and our wider community.
This will build on our nationally recognized unique cultural approach to the challenges of recovery-oriented service delivery to redesign our service system.
About the facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region.
Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role As the successful applicant, you will be committed to delivering high quality primary mental health and AOD interventions for young people aged 12-25 with mental health and wellbeing concerns.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of a general practitioner allied health and nursing staff to facilitate the provision of coordinated clinical care and treatment.
The key objectives of this role are: To provide intake, screening, initial care coordination and assessment To provide evidenced informed counselling interventions tailored to the needs of young people and their families To discuss and direct to other service linkages outside headspace as required Please note the FTE for this role is negotiable to suit your own personal and professional goals (0.2 FTE minimum).
You will have the opportunity to enter a private contract if suitably accredited in order to deliver private consultations via the Medicare Benefit Scheme either at headspace Colac or via telehealth.
