One permanent full-time, and one permanent part-time (60.8 hours fortnightly) position based in Glenorchy About us: Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to ageing and disability, health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.
About the Role: Provide a prompt, welcoming frontline service to Anglicare customers and employees. This includes providing appropriate administrative services to the location in which the Intake and Administration Officer is employed.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas: Well-developed administrative and organisational skills and exemplary attention to detail with demonstrated experience in record keeping and management, IT systems and software, web-based applications, time-management and prioritising tasks.Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of Anglicare Community Services information, community resources, service providers and referral points.Demonstrated ability to adopt a solution-focused approach to work tasks.Be able to show resilience and effectively deal with difficult customers and difficult situations.Experience in maintaining and operating in environments where information is sensitive, personal and/or of a confidential nature.Able to work energetically, positively and productively to meet the needs of customers while adhering to regulatory policy and procedures.Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced contact/service centre environment utilising modern office technology and equipment.Basic knowledge and adherence of work health and safety legislative obligations.Demonstrate an understanding and alignment to the Anglicare Mission along with the ability to apply Anglicare values in the performance of all duties.What we offer you: An attractive salary of $76,866 to $80,146 + Super.Not-for-profit salary packaging available that can increase your take-home pay.A friendly and supportive work environment.The Position Description can be found below. The successful applicant will be required to: Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;Provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical;Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
