Variety of work - Australian & international insurers, government panels & London syndicatesSpecialise or generalise – Finance, Medical, Engineering & Building sector workAutonomy to run your own files, flexible work arrangementsThe RoleComprising work from a variety of Australian and international insurers, government panels and London Syndicates, the team is experienced in dealing with indemnity issues for a wide range of professionals including accountants, financial planners, administrators, medical professionals, engineers, building surveyors and builders/contractors.From a technical perspective, the team has recently increased its market share of Professional Indemnity, D&O and Financial Lines work.
There are several options for how this role can evolve depending on your skillset and desired area of specialisation: you can take on a more building/construction sector focused practice (freeing up existing staff to handle the financial work), take on the financial sector work, or do a mix of both.The TeamThe two Partners that this position reports to have received several industry awards in the insurance space and have an approachable and warm leadership style, giving you the autonomy to run your own files.
This position will be working alongside a team of over 25 FinLines and Profind Lawyers in Melbourne.The broader insurance team in Melbourne comprises several Partners and from a culture perspective, this is a very attractive firm – offering flexible work arrangements (flexi hours and PT options available), and a younger professional attitude that focuses on smart, quality work, rather than how many hours are put in.
