About Us
MinterEllison is one of Australia's largest law firms, with nearly 200 years of business history. We're known for our legal and consulting expertise - and for our inclusive and authentic character.
Our purpose is to create sustainable value with our clients, people and communities. That means we have a proud history of providing excellence to clients, nurturing our people and giving back to the communities in which we live and work.
We value excellence, curiosity and collaboration. Clients rely on us for our responsive, commercial approach. Our clients include government departments and agencies, private and publicly listed companies, and small and large businesses in Australia and overseas.
A great opportunity currently exists for a bright and enthusiastic lawyer to join us. You will work closely with partner, Katie Clark and a team of lawyers on general insurance claims (including historical abuse matters) and advisory work.
You will have the opportunity to manage your own claims and help make important legal and strategic decisions along the way. The large national insurance team supports clients across the country and there are regularly opportunities for cross-border collaboration.
What you need
We welcome applications from lawyers who:
have 1+ years' experience in defendant public liability insurance claims;
have experience in or an interest in managing historical abuse matters;
have experience in efficiently and professionally managing disclosure tasks;
have a proven track record in working to client service standards;
are personally well organised, with demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of claims;
work in a highly collaborative manner;
are resilient and committed to excellence that matches our own; and
take pride in their work and who they work for.
