Insurance Compliance Team Lead

Lead our first line compliance team in providing advisory and insights for our Insurance business. In this hands-on position, you will work closely with the Manager Insurance Risk and Resilience, ensuring that key team deliverables are met to the highest standards and within agreed timeframes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of Principal Compliance Advisors to deliver effective compliance support to front-line business executives and managers.Conduct critical analysis of compliance issues, uncovering hidden insights to inform decision-making.Regulatory horizon scanning and impact analysis, ensuring the Insurance business is proactively responding to changes within the regulatory landscape.Overseeing responses prepared by Insurance stakeholders in response to regulator requests for information.Establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing their views and decisions to ensure compliance with obligations.Root cause analysis of unfavourable AFCA determinations, regulatory breaches, systemic incidents and complaints to recommend actions to prevent recurrence.Foster a culture of openness, encouraging all stakeholders to speak up about compliance issues regardless of position.What We're Looking For: Experience in risk, audit, or governance roles, preferably within the General Insurance industry or financial services consulting.Strong working knowledge of compliance obligations within the insurance sector.Strong analytical skills with an enquiring mind and the ability to dig deep into issues and practices.Proven capability to establish rapport and effectively influence senior stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.Why join RACQ?
