Due to an expansion in our Major and Complex Loss claims portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Building Supervisor to join the team.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced and KPI-driven role which will require you to think on your feet and work with a variety of people across the business in our Major and Complex Loss team.
We are offering a full-time position based in Canberra.

The role: Manage the end-to-end repair experience for major and complex loss jobsEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniquesReview the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs to ensure an acceptable profitable marginPlan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones whilst ensuring timely delivery of repairs in accordance with expected outcomes for our clientsPrioritise workloads and work in a systematic and organised manner to cope with tight deadlinesDeliver first-class customer serviceGrow and maintain client relationships in the major and complex loss marketAnalyse, manage, and mitigate risks ensuring all OHS requirements are metContribute to and comply with all statutory legislation including the relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures applicable to Ambrose Construct GroupEstablish and manage major and complex loss construction projects from conception to completionPrepare internal and external reports pertaining to job statusNegotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licensesAssist with new starter training if necessaryAbout you: A full and valid driving licenceTrade qualifications preferredConstruction Management Degree/Qualification in Building & Construction/Builder's RegistrationProven experience in facilitating major and complex loss events within the Insurance Building IndustryExperience of working with a multi-skilled trades team (within occupied/vacant properties) is desirableExcellent communication and inter-personal skillsAbility to diagnose and prioritise specific work activities and tasksAbility to work individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience in order to gain clear resultsAbility to demonstrate a flexible, caring, and professional approach to customer care within a wide range of work situationsCan-do attitude towards workAble to produce consistently high-quality workmanshipProficient in MS Project/Excel + other Construction Scheduling Software PlatformsHonest and truthful at all timesKnowledge and understanding of construction-related OH&S legislationUnderstanding of value for moneyAbility to work outside normal working hours as requiredWhat Construct Services can offer:A supportive, safe, and encouraging workplace culture with a passionate team who are proud of their workA competitive remuneration package based on your experience levelAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramA Referral program that awards you with $2000 for referring a successful candidate, so you can be rewarded for supporting your team's growth.A seamless induction, professional development and learning opportunitiesModern office facilities and resourcesConstruct Services is an equal opportunity employer.
