Project Overview: The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh.
Job Summary: In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's control systems aspects.
You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of control systems components and processes.
Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure unique and complex requirements of a project's control systems aspects are met.
Major Responsibilities: Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Control Systems engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
Participates in the design, development and modification of mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines.
Coordinates Control Systems engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups.
Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
Provides technical assistance to other Control Systems personnel and interacts with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards.
Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Control Systems requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience with Electrical Hazardous Areas (EHA) and Australian Standards.
Must demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including Setroute, TEAMWorks, Aconex, DSCS, Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and Universal Plant Viewer is preferred.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
