The Business AustCorp Executive is working in partnership with a well-established EPCM. The company specialises in developing, engineering and executing large-scale industrial projects across various sectors, including oil & gas, mining and minerals, power generation and distribution, as well as renewable energy and hydrogen industries.
You will be responsible for a range of Instrumentation and Controls engineering activities across multiple project phases, including detailed design, procurement, commissioning and operational support. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify control systems for heavy industrial applications. The position also includes opportunities to work on innovative technologies in green energy, hydrogen and industrial automation projects.
The Role Design and specify control systems, instrumentation and industrial networks. Develop and modify panel layouts, wiring and termination diagrams. Assist with proposal preparation, engineering cost estimates and multidisciplinary deliverables. Develop EI&C schedules, including cable, instrument and I/O configurations. Conduct FAT, SAT and commissioning activities for control systems. Manage brownfield system upgrades, including changeover planning. Perform LV power calculations, equipment selection and technical reporting. Collaborate closely with project teams to deliver successful outcomes. The Requirements Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. 5+ years of technical experience in instrumentation and control engineering. Proficiency in control system design and understanding of ISA95-compliant architectures. Strong knowledge of Australian standards and LV equipment. Ability to lead engineering deliverables, including tender evaluations and procurement support. Experience working with automation, instrumentation and industrial networks. Familiarity with PowerCAD software and industrial automation systems. Experience working on green energy or hydrogen projects. What's in it for you?
