Preferred Locations: Leeton, Wagga Wagga or Tumut The main role is to work on automation instrumentation and associated equipment, including design, purchasing, installation, fault-finding, calibration, maintenance, and monitoring of systems across our water monitoring and infrastructure sites.

What you'll do: Ensuring the accurate and efficient implementation, configuration, and maintenance of field-based instrumentation and systems including computer hardware, communications networks, communications towers, site controlling devices, power systems and instrumentation to achieve the availability requirements of the SCADA system for users.
Identifying and resolving electrical and automated system faults to minimise downtime for the Automation, Telemetry, and Communications Systems and associated assets.
Planning, procuring, and managing instrumentation and controls maintenance projects, including the efficient and effective utilisation of qualified contractors, to achieve productivity and quality outcomes, and ensure that all contractors are trained and qualified to enable the safe and effective operation of infrastructure, monitoring and maintenance of sites.
Capturing and storing data to provide data for management systems and other service systems.
Providing specialised technical advice and site-specific knowledge for planning, conceptualisation, testing, implementing and security of Automation, Telemetry, and Communications systems to reduce implementation risks and optimise performance.
Providing specialist electrical technical advice and audit works for compliance to Australian Standards, Regulations and Water NSW standards.
What we are looking for: Certificate III in Electro-technology Electrician and/or qualified Supervisor Certificate – Electrical.
Demonstrated experience in SCADA, Automation, and Communications Technologies.
Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance of water infrastructure.
Ability to undertake field operations and maintenance activities involving instrumentation and controls equipment and associated electrical and mechanical equipment.
Ability to find/rectify faults and maintain automation systems from SCADA server to site instrumentation.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the operation and maintenance of Instrumentation and Control systems.
A current NSW Driver's License.
