About the role This is a full time opportunity based at Tarong Power Stations. The Instrumentation and Control Technician role resides within the Electrical/I&C Maintenance Team and reports directly to the Instrument & Control Team Leader. The I&C Technician performs fault finding, investigations and analysis on technically complex plant, systems and processes. On a day to day basis, this diverse role carries out preventive and corrective maintenance, identifies and implements projects to ensure plant efficiency. Dependant on your qualifications, skills and experience, this role can be offered as a Level 1, 2 or 3 Technician.
Key activities include: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation Carry out complex fault finding and implement innovative solutions Provide technical assistance to the Electrical and Mechanical Teams and mentor Electrical/I&C Apprentices Monitor and evaluate plant performance to advise opportunities for improvement in availability, reliability and cost effectiveness Complete assigned technical work in a safe and timely manner About you The following qualifications and skills are required:
