Instrumental Teacher - Guitar

Aquinas College is a Catholic Secondary College in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with an enrolment of over 1700. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified musician to the position of Instrumental Music Teacher – Guitar . This is a FTE 0.6 position, Fixed Term commencing in the 2025 school year.
The successful applicant will:
Have the ability to teach Guitar. Have a strong working knowledge of Guitar Performance including Classical, Jazz and Rock styles and the ability to teach a variety of styles. Be comfortable teaching Year 7 – 12 students including VCE students. Have the ability to lead and direct a College guitar ensemble. Participate in school music events as required from time to time. Have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. Have excellent communication skills. Have the ability to work successfully within a team. Have a current WWCC and Police Check. VIT Registration would be an advantage. Aquinas College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.
