Instrumental Music Tutor

Braemar College is an independent, co-educational school for students in Years 5 to 12.
The College is located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.
The successful candidate will be passionate and committed to providing instrumental music lessons to students during the school day.
Staff are valued and supported in a collegial environment as they provide highly engaging and relevant experiences for our students.
Position:
Braemar College is seeking an Instrumental Tutor with a passion for engaging students in developing musicianship.
Student requests guide the needs of the College on an annual basis.
We would be particularly interested in the following:
Piano Keyboard Percussion

This is achieved through instrumental instruction weekly with one one-on-one or small group lessons.
At times the instrumental tutor will also be involved in ensembles and group lessons.
The ability to commence for 2025.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
Maintain a high standard of instruction and feedback to students.
Deliver and promote the student instrumental program within the College.
Be passionate about students' performances, supporting them at College events.
About You:
It is expected that you will:
Have the ability to demonstrate professional knowledge of your specialty to VCE level.
Have an engaging manner with students who are developing as young musicians.
Participate actively in music events.
It would be advantageous to have a tertiary qualification relevant to Music and/or teaching.
Have an enthusiastic approach to the instruction of young people, with a focus on developing knowledge and skills.
The capacity and willingness to contribute to the Music Team.
Hold a current Working With Children Check, or have the ability to apply for one, or have teacher registration with VIT.
In addition, the preferred applicant will understand and be committed to the ethos of Independent Schooling, be willing to contribute to College events, and adhere to the College's 'Child Safety Policy'.
