Instrumental Music Instructor - Scottish DrummingThe City of Edinburgh CouncilDeadline: 24 December 2024 at 23:00This is an exciting opportunity to teach in various schools across Edinburgh and be part of a dynamic and friendly service.Position Details:Instrumental Music Instructor - Scottish Drumming - fixed term until 05/01/2027Various SchoolsSalary: £35,190 - £46,773 (pro-rata for part time)Hours: 19.60 per week (0.56FTE, 2 days and a morning)We are looking for a highly skilled Instrumental Music Instructor, who is passionate and driven, to provide excellent Scottish Drumming learning experiences for all pupils. The successful candidate will have experience in instrumental teaching, with a sound knowledge of the current curriculum, preparing pupils for SQA and external exams, as well as working with groups and ensembles.This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
