We currently have several opportunities for experienced Instrument Technicians and Electricians who understand how to deliver a high level of quality input into all aspects of automation, instrument, and electrical support services in the fields of design, construction, maintenance, and calibration.
The Team With over 80 people employed full-time, you will work with a dedicated team of talented individuals with specialties from different disciplines. For instance, our team includes engineers, project managers, technical service specialists, electricians, welders, fitters, riggers, problem solvers, designers, and support staff. THE ROLES – Instrument & Electrical Technicians These roles are for site-orientated and practical qualified technicians and electricians. The roles vary with a blend of duties including:
Embedded full-time maintenance team on customers' sites. Service and maintenance supporting varied sites. Construction team. Engineering team with project and technical support. The role requirements of the work vary while drawing on the following skills and experience:
Electrical and instrumentation systems maintenance. Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems. Instrumentation specification, installation, configuration, calibration & troubleshooting. Communication system installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Liaison with customers to deliver scope and service. Notably, experience in the following would be highly regarded:
Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA. Fibre optic/CAT6 networking. Experience with UPS systems. Experience with pneumatic systems. Previous supervisory experience. Computer competency skills required to use the Microsoft O365 suite are desirable. THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have Australian residency and be positioned in the Illawarra Region of NSW. Also, the applicant must be able to provide evidence they have the experience and skills to suit the coverage of the job needs and must have:
Qualified Supervisor Electrician Licence. Demonstrated a solid commitment to safety, quality, honesty, and work integrity. Demonstrated communication skills effectively in dealing with both customers and team members. Notably, the remuneration package will depend on the skills, outcomes, and experience you can deliver.
