We are recruiting for two (2) full-time (37.5 hours per week), temporary Instructor Therapist Interns in Autism & Behavioural Services.
The designated office for these positions is Owen Sound.
The catchment area includes Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce counties.
These positions are expected to begin in January 2025 and end September 2025.
Regular travel within this geographic area may be required.
A flexible work schedule will be required, including some evening and weekend work.
Successful candidates will be required to complete Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) certification during the first 6-months of employment and by the end of the six month period be qualified for and move into an available Instructor Therapist position.
Responsibilities: Under the guidance of a Behaviour Analyst and with support from Instructor Therapists, the successful candidates will:
Provide ABA support services to children and youth with ASD individually and in groups in a variety of environments (e.g., community-based and TVCC locations, and client homes)Assist with the treatment planning and preparation of materials and supplies for clients, adhering to evidence-based methodsAssist in collecting data and participate in the evaluation of the efficacy of teachingInteract with families and children/youth during the activitiesprompting as required,providing reinforcement as needed,recording data as instructed,assisting parents with instructions, andother assigned tasks as they arisePrepare materials for the activities; including photocopying, laminating, collecting and arranging materials, setting up the room including equipment and technology supportsQualifications: Minimum two-year college diploma or undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g.
ECE, DSW, CYW, etc.
)Experience working with children with Autism and knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis is preferredUnderstanding of early childhood development and comfort in appropriately engaging young children at playExperience working in a high-energy, fast-paced team environment requiring flexibility to adapt to change quickly and easilyStrong written and oral communication skills; ability to receive and incorporate feedback; and advanced self-reflection skills are requiredStrong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office 365 package of softwareA valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicleCurrent certification in First Aid and CPRProficiency in the French language would be considered an assetInterested in Applying?Please email your resume (as an attachment in .pdf or Microsoft Word format) to Human Resources at ****** .
