Position Highlights The Instructional Specialist is an exemplary primary classroom practitioner and a member of the college K-6 leadership team. The Instructional Specialist is responsible for leading school-wide teaching and learning initiatives, supporting teachers to deliver a high-quality reformed curriculum, transforming pedagogical practice and ensuring excellent student outcomes. Additionally, the role is responsible for supporting the implementation of system-wide teaching and learning initiatives, collaborating with network Teaching & Learning Coaches to implement 'SCS Excellence in Action' across Sydney Catholic Schools.
The Instructional Specialist role maintains a 0.6FTE classroom teaching load, and 0.4FTE working with their colleagues to model classroom practitioner excellence, improve learning outcomes and bring about change in the instruction of teachers K-6. The appointment as Instructional Specialist will be for an initial 3-year period but the teaching role is a full-time permanent position.
