The roleThe position sits in the Export Instructional Material team of the Export Regulatory Knowledge and Capability Section of the Export Regulatory Stewardship Branch (Plant and Live Animal Exports, Animal Welfare and Regulation Division).
The APS6 Instructional Material Writer and Editor will undertake writing of instructional material (processes, procedures and supporting documents) to support the Export Regulator Knowledge and Capability team and other export business areas meet a range of deadlines.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:In collaboration with subject matter experts, and using departmental templates and processes, write instructional material (processes, procedures and supporting material) to support export staff perform regulatory duties and functions.Effectively manage good working relationships with instructional material content owners.Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including other teams across the Agricultural Trade Group, the Instructional Material Library Systems team, and editors in the Exports Regulatory Knowledge and Capability Section.Assist with editing of instructional material as required.Assist with reporting and other admin tasks for the team as required.Experience and capabilities required:Excellent communication skills, including a well-demonstrated ability to write in a clear, concise and structured way.Demonstrated skills and experience in document editing (experience in instructional material editing will be an advantage).Good client engagement skills and a focus on customer service.A demonstrated ability to set and meet work priorities to ensure team and organisational objectives are met.An ability to learn new systems and tasks quickly.A high level of personal drive and integrity, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with document management workflows will be an advantage.To Apply:To be eligible it is essential that applicants hold Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain and maintain a national police check and Baseline security clearance.
