Are you passionate about designing innovative training programs and making a difference in the learning experience? We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join our team. This role is a 24-month full-time fixed term contract. The key purpose of the Instructional Designer is to support the learning and development needs of the QTMP workforce by working directly with key stakeholders including managers and employees. This is achieved by creating compelling learning activities and course content, working with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning process. Learning activities may encompass all methods of learning including formal, informal, on the job, technology assisted, mentoring, and coaching.

About You Diploma of Training Design and Development or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40122, TAEDEL501A Facilitate e-learning (Preferred), TAEDES503A Design and develop e-learning resources (Preferred) Extensive demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles, and how these principles interact with current education/training delivery and competency-based assessment mediums. Intimate understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework. Evidenced experience in developing both digital and face-to-face programs. Exceptional service delivery to management, clients, and subcontractors. Work collegiately with the HR, L&D and Project network and specialist functions. Consult with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and vendors, when necessary, to ensure that the best possible solutions are delivered and work with a range of business divisions and stakeholders to ensure that program goals, aims, outcomes, and impacts on business are clearly understood. About the Role Development of instructor-led, online, and self-paced training content, including trainer and learner handouts. Testing and deployment of training content into LMS. Provision of technical support and assistance to the L&D team. Research and develop new learnings in relation to adult learning principles and how they interact with Downer RTS' current education/training. Provide advice and support to Learning & Development Manager QTMP. Schedule and report monthly Instructional Design package updates to internal and external stakeholders. Assist with periodic audits of system configuration and records. About the Project
QTMP is the largest investment in new rolling stock in Queensland's history.
