Position Overview The Service Design and Innovation Branch re-imagines and re-designs customer experiences at Services Australia. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning and Development professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs and solutions to support our staff in acquiring the skills and competencies required to meet our organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities Conducting best practice application of contemporary adult learning and development principles, instructional design methodologies, along with knowledge of human-centred design practices. Leading the design, development, and curation of learning content including digital and mobile solutions. Leading the team to undertake quality, accessibility, and functionality checks, provide feedback, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement. Leading and advocating to apply instructional design, human-centred design, and plain English principles. Synthesising findings of user research and usability and accessibility standards to develop insights and design solutions. Using iterative approaches to rapidly incorporate user feedback into designs. Proactively developing and managing key stakeholder relationships, negotiating requirements to meet business needs and strategic objectives. Managing, supporting, and mentoring staff including coaching and training to create instructional design advocacy and capability uplift. Eligibility Requirements In accordance with section 22(6) of the Public Service Act 1999, Services Australia requires applicants to be Australian citizens to be eligible for employment. An applicant's suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process, including a national police history check, referee checks, and an employment history integrity check.
