About the Role This role is responsible for working with subject matter experts collaboratively to design, write, develop, and implement engaging online learning experiences in the Psychiatry learning space.
Key tasks include: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse learning needs and develop clear learning objectives.Design engaging online learning experiences based on instructional design principles and adult learning principles and theories.Use tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline to create interactive online materials, incorporating multimedia elements such as videos, simulations, quizzes, and interactive activities to enhance learner engagement and retention.Produce essential documentation, including storyboards, and conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, functionality, and effectiveness of all online learning materials.Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design to continually improve learning experiences.Provide training and support to College members and staff, promoting effective instructional techniques and the proficient use of online learning platforms.What You'll Bring Formal qualifications in instructional design, educational technology, education, or a related discipline (bachelor's or master's degree).Proven experience in instructional design and online learning development, preferably within higher education or corporate training environments.Experience in designing and delivering online learning materials and facilitating educational workshops.Strong ability to write clear and effective instructional text, copy, and scripts for audio and video.Familiarity with online learning authoring tools, including Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Adobe Captivate, to create engaging and interactive learning content.Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles to create materials that are accessible to all learners.Exceptional communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs) and project team members to achieve project goals.Experience within membership or nonprofit organisations is a plus, along with a passion for driving meaningful change in mental health care.Australian or New Zealand citizen or holds the right to work in Australia.
