JOB SUMMARY: Throughout the course development process, Instructional Designers (IDs) collaborate with a number of different client stakeholders and D2L team members. On the client side, IDs collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who provide course content and drive client vision. IDs are responsible for leveraging instructional design best practices, learning theory, Brightspace expertise, and custom interactive solutions to guide course design and development in a way that best fits client needs. This requires coaching clients through establishing clear learning objectives; organizing course content; implementing effective evaluation strategies and tools; and integrating interactives and multimedia. Within D2L, IDs work closely with Project Managers, Courseware Developers, and Graphic Designers to bring courses to life within Brightspace.

The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, education, training, and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L, the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.
Base Salary Range: $53,000 — $79,000 CAD
