About the Business Unit: The Transformation, Development and Capability business unit is responsible for transformation and learning and development to support employees. The Advisor, Learning and Capability is a member of the Department of Justice and Community Safety within People, Safety, Culture and Communications team.
About the Role: Operating as part of the Learning & Capability (Youth Justice) Team, the Instructional Design Specialist is responsible for course consultancy and design in creating effective and engaging learning environments informed by desired learning outcomes.
Some of your duties will include:
Scoping, designing and evaluating learning programs for Youth Justice, including facilitation guides, train the trainer processes, first-person competent processes, eLearns, videos etc. to ensure effective design and delivery of all programsBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with staff, peers, leaders, and executives within Youth Justice, as well as with external stakeholders and the broader Department of Justice and Community SafetyCollaborating with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to design learning solutions, utilising contemporary practices like co-design while facilitating workshops and feedback sessions to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organisational objectives, fostering a culture of shared knowledge and continuous improvement.About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Seasoned expertise in applying instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, and experiential learning theory to develop engaging and interactive learning activities.Strong expertise in online learning platforms, including proficiency in Articulate and Articulate Rise, paired with solid knowledge of course development software and experience with at least one Learning Management System. Demonstrate advanced visual design skills using tools such as Captivate, Lectora, Adobe Suite, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with the ability to effectively storyboard content to create engaging and visually compelling learning experiences.Extensive experience in project management of learning products and use of project management tools such as MSPRoject and understanding or PMBok and/or Prince project methodologies.Strong stakeholder management skills to engage and manage business leaders and subject matter experts.How to Apply: Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
