The School Administrator & Art and Design Coordinator is a dual-role position designed to support the effective operation and creative growth of Reddam House.
The role combines administrative excellence with artistic facilitation, ensuring smooth school management while fostering a vibrant and inspiring learning environment for students.
By handling administrative tasks and supporting art and design education, the role contributes to the school's mission of holistic development and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the primary school staff, including managing correspondence and responding to inquiries.
Maintain and update student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Coordinate and manage primary co-curricular data, ensuring alignment with billing requirements.
Organise and oversee school events such as assemblies, Open Day, and prize-giving ceremonies, including the preparation of certificates and logistical arrangements.
Facilitate communication with parents, including managing newsletters and scheduling parent-teacher meetings.
Manage the ordering and upkeep of school stationery and supplies.
Provide reception relief and support for visitors, fostering a welcoming and professional environment.
Coordinate catering and other requirements for events hosted by the principal.
Art and Design Coordination Responsibilities:
Assist art and design teachers in preparing and organising materials, supplies, and equipment for classes and projects.
Maintain clean, organised, and safe art spaces, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Manage inventory, order art supplies within budget, and ensure timely availability of resources.
Set up and dismantle displays, exhibitions, and events showcasing student artwork, coordinating with staff for broader school events.
Support the integration of technology into art programs, including the use of digital tools and creative software.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proven administrative skills, including diary management, correspondence handling, and event coordination.
Familiarity with art techniques, materials, and tools; knowledge of digital art software is an advantage.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of balancing administrative and creative responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, students, and parents.
Experience in an educational setting is highly desirable, with knowledge of school management systems and event planning.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to work outside regular hours for school events and art showcases as needed.
Flexibility to adapt to urgent tasks or changes in schedule.
