If so, this is your opportunity to live, work and play a short drive from stunning coastlines, scenic trails and the food and wine heartland of the west.Located in the picturesque south-west and Peel regions of Western Australia, South32 Worsley Alumina is on a journey to become the world's leading Alumina producer where our 1500 workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer.Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers.The opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plans.Options for additional superannuation contributions.Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business.ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position on 4 x 10 hour at Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.As the Welding Inspector your role is to safely execute maintenance work at an Operation as per 1SAP processes, maintenance schedules, and work instructions.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance to the 1SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the 1SAP system.Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders.Ensure work is executed to a highest standard and history is recorded in 1SAP notifications for future reference.Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.Review and request updates to Work Management and other Master data as required (e.g. Work Instructions and BOM).General Welding Inspection on fixed plant including pressure piping, pressure vessels, tanks & structural steel.Organising daily NDT activities.Witness welder qualification tests.Working knowledge of Welding management standard AS/NZS ISO3834.ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Technical: Some exposure in the maintenance area with a minimum experience of between 1 and 3 months.Requires detailed knowledge of tasks related to maintaining fixed plant refinery processing mining equipment.Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborated with a small group of internal stakeholders on individual contributor and supervisory level (H + G roles).Qualifications for this position are:Minimum experience – Relevant Boilermaker Welder trade certificate held for minimum 3-5 years.Holds relevant post-secondary certificates that are required for respective trade/work discipline in local jurisdiction.
