Position Title: ABF International Desk Officer

Salary: Executive Level 1 - $110,788.00 and $129,928.00 plus 15.4% super (part-time pro-rata)

About Our Opportunity: This process is being used to fill up to 2 immediate vacancies. A merit pool may be established and used to fill similar vacancies for up to 18 months.
About Our Team: The ABF International Strategy, Coordination and Governance Section is responsible for servicing ABF International's governance structure through secretariat support and coordination, overseeing the prioritization and coordination of investments and efforts, and engagement with international multi-lateral forums such as the Border 5 and World Customs Organisation in accordance with ABF's International Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead high performing teams to triage and assess requests for international assistance, incidents and operational plans and provide advice and response in line with ABF's International Strategy.Ensure quality briefings are drafted and provided across the ABF, Home Affairs and to relevant external stakeholders.Identify, analyze and manage emerging international risks and issues as they pertain to the border environment, providing support and communication to internal and external stakeholders.Represent and support ABF Senior Executives' interests across a number of international forums and other Government departments, as well as Canberra-based foreign missions.Secretariat and support functions for various Senior Executive forums, ensuring ABF priorities and strategies are coordinated, aligned and tracked across each engagement.Minimum Requirements: Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication.Ability to understand and communicate an agency's international strategic priorities and build relationships with national and international partners.Understanding of the current global geostrategic environment and events.Ability to build and lead a collaborative team environment.How to Apply: Submit your application and CV through the Home Affairs' recruitment system (ourPeople) before the closing date on 03/12/2024 at 11:59pm (midnight) AEDT – Late applications will not be accepted.
