The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to assist our IT Support Specialist with troubleshooting, services, and repairs of a wide variety of computing hardware, software, telecommunications and audio/visual equipment.
Responsibilities Respond to or assist with service requests and provide technical support and problem resolution. Service computing hardware, software, telecommunications and audio/visual equipment. Gather and document system requirements and user needs. Document system events and maintain support logs and issue tracking. Assist users in understanding basic system operations. Perform or assist with initial system configuration and setup. Install desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software. Assist with troubleshooting and periodic hardware maintenance. Other duties as directed by Director Business Services and Insitu IT. Experience/Qualifications Qualification in IT, networks, computer science, systems engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience. Ability to identify routine problems and seek guidance when developing solutions. Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while working to schedule commitments. Demonstrated strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment. Australian Citizen in order to hold or eligibility to obtain an Australian Security Clearance to Secret level.
