Why is this role exciting?
As a Senior Product Designer, you'll work closely with an experienced Head of Design, other senior designers, and Product Managers. Together, you'll drive impactful design solutions for students and educators across Australia and the US. With exciting new features planned for 2025, you'll help shape the future of educational technology while growing your skills in a collaborative environment.
What will you do?
Design Expertise : Execute the end-to-end design process, from user research to implementation, delivering exceptional outcomes. User Stories & Tasks : Collaborate with Product Managers to translate customer insights into detailed user stories and tasks in Jira. User Research : Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, validate concepts, and identify opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with developers, data scientists, and QA specialists to ensure designs align with technical feasibility and user needs. Design Systems : Evolve and maintain our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency. Data-Informed Design : Use data and analytics to iteratively improve user experiences. What are we looking for?
Experience : 5+ years in UX/Product Design, proven ability to design for complex, data-driven platforms, with a track record of aligning design decisions with business and user needs. Confident in creating and managing user stories in tools like Jira. Customer Focus : A deep commitment to understanding and advocating for user needs through research, testing, and iterative design. Strategic Thinking : Strong prioritization skills, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals. Experience engaging with stakeholders to define and refine priorities. Collaboration Skills : Confidence working cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create cohesive, impactful solutions. Technical Skills : Expertise in Figma and a strong understanding of design principles, including experience with design systems. Facilitation : Ability to lead workshops, present ideas to stakeholders, and influence decisions to deliver user-centric outcomes. Field Research : Willingness and ability to visit primary schools across Australia to conduct in-depth user research with teachers and students. Must be eligible to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Adaptability : Comfortable navigating the intersection of design and product management to deliver high-quality results.
