The GGA is a state-wide network of 90 organisations, including over 65 local grower groups, with a collective membership exceeding 4,000 WA farm enterprises.

GGA is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as an Innovation Specialist and Broker in the SW WA Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub project.
This role will be instrumental in connecting grower groups, farmers, researchers, and industry with cutting-edge knowledge, practices, and technologies that enhance agricultural resilience.
About the Role This role involves fostering and managing strategic relationships to drive innovation across WA agriculture.
You will be responsible for developing and facilitating multiway knowledge transfer between research teams, stakeholders, and the farming community.
Additionally, you will oversee the lifecycle of key projects, ensuring they align with the strategic goals of all involved.
Key Responsibilities Lead the transfer of knowledge between stakeholders and researchers within the project.Act as the primary liaison between research teams and agricultural stakeholders.Support the WA Agricultural Innovation Ecosystem.Identify and drive the adoption of innovative practices and technologies.Collaborate with grower groups and other organisations to co-design farmer-led, demand-driven projects.Monitor global and local trends to ensure WA's agricultural sector remains at the forefront of innovation.Facilitate linkages and collaboration between stakeholders to enhance the impact of innovation.About You You will need a deep understanding of the agriculture sector, with experience supporting innovation projects.
Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge transfer is essential, as are outstanding communication skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience working in agricultural innovation or research.Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and collaboration.Knowledge of agricultural production systems and innovation processes.Experience reporting to funding organisations including government.Minimum Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Innovation Management, or a related field.Why Join Us? Competitive remuneration, Head office is conveniently located in East Perth, but regional locations are available, with the opportunity for some work from home.
