About the Role Primo Foods have a great opportunity within the HR team for an Injury Management Health & Wellbeing Coordinator based in Wacol, Brisbane.
This role is responsible for the coordination of processes associated with the rehabilitation and timely return to work of injured and ill employees.
This position also works with the wider teams to implement change and provide education in regards to injury prevention and health & wellbeing initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include: Provide prompt rehabilitation and return to work support for all work-related and non-work-related injuries.The first point of contact for injured employees and managers immediately following injury.Triaging injuries in conjunction with the injured employee and first aid team to ensure appropriate medical treatment is coordinated and available.Attending initial doctors' consultations with injured workers at local clinic.Coordinating communication with any additional rehabilitation providers, the insurer and site team.Consult with management regarding suitable duties to match rehabilitation program, including hours, work methods, access issues, equipment design and programming for resumption of normal duty.The development and maintenance of return to work plans appropriate to an injured employee's capacity and available duties.Develop understanding among managers of legislative obligations and the benefits of rehabilitating injured/ill employees.Assist and coach management to build a positive rehabilitation and return to work environment that facilitates positive return to work outcomes.Coordinate the completion of all necessary paperwork to assist in prompt claim lodgement and early intervention.Maintain records in accordance with legislative requirements within the Injury Management system.Prepare monthly reports for key stakeholders on current injuries and illnesses.Identifying areas for opportunity and education within the business unit that would reduce the risk of injury and potential claims.Work in conjunction with the safety team to assist with incident investigation and reporting when required.Provide training to local management and employees on areas within safety and injury management when required.About you: First Aid qualifications as well as Rehabilitation & Return to Work certificates.Strong communicator with excellent listening and interaction skills.Knowledge of the Injury Management and current Workers Compensation legislation.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure.The ability to prioritise tasks and manage projects simultaneously.The ability to interface with all levels of management.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.Why work for Primo?
