About the role: The Injury Management, Health and Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for supporting the promotion and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment for employees.
This includes program areas such as occupational health, fitness for work, injury/illness prevention, rehabilitation and return to work, health screening and health management processes.
This role focuses on injury and illness prevention, management, and the overall wellbeing of employees, in addition to Injury Management & RTW support.
The advisor will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as employees, managers, healthcare professionals and insurance providers to implement effective programs and initiatives.
They will also provide guidance and support to all stakeholders on Kent occupational health programs and throughout the injury management process, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
This is a Project-based role allocated to Kent's Ampol Future Fuels Projects with scope to expand or change upon completion, dependent on the needs of the business.
Your responsibilities will include: Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing, and raise awareness about best practices for injury/illness preventionConduct regular assessments of workplace hazards and develop strategies to minimize the risk of injuries and illnessImplement HSSE training, programs and initiatives pertaining to occupational health, safety and wellbeingServe as a main point of contact and facilitate the immediate response to injuries/illnesses, ensuring that necessary medical care is promptly providedWork closely with stakeholders (e.g.
employees, management and supervision, healthcare professionals and insurance agencies) to develop and implement individualized strategies to stay at work or return to work.Monitor and track injured/ill employees' progress, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their recoveryEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to workplace safety, injury management, workers' compensationAssist in overall development, coordination and implementation of Kent occupational health and wellbeing programs to support employees' physical and psychosocial wellbeing, and fitness for workReview pre-employment medical information and coordinate job task profiling (both physical and psychological aspects)Incorporate psychosocial risk management into systems, applying guidelines and validated processesSupporting accreditation compliance with the Office of the Federal Safety CommissionAbout You: Our ideal candidate will possess a Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Allied Health, or a related field, and will have extensive experience within the occupational health, injury management or Workers Compensation industry.
