About Us Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, managers, and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.
About the Role This is a 5-Month Fixed Term Contract. As an Injury Management Advisor, you'll assist workers and managers with injury management and return-to-work programs. Reporting to the WHS and Wellbeing Manager, you'll liaise with medical providers and provide advice on mitigation strategies. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring employees return to their duties.
What you'll be doing Providing timely injury management services for work and non-work related injuriesUndertaking early intervention to minimise injury severitySupporting managers and employees through the injury management processDeveloping and monitoring return-to-work programsEnsuring compliance with workers' compensation legislationAttending case conferences and maintaining injury management recordsAssisting in functional capacity assessments and risk assessments with WHS AdvisorsAbout You You are a compassionate professional with experience in injury management within complex health services. Your strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks ensure effective engagement with stakeholders. You work well in teams and independently, and your understanding of workers' compensation legislation makes you a great fit for this role.
Your ideal skills & experience Tertiary level qualification in related injury management field (occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, rehabilitation consulting)Ability to foster stakeholder relationships and influence positive workplace changesStrong written, analytical, and computer skillsOrganisational skills and mentoring abilities in conflict managementKnowledge of statutory workers' compensation and injury management legislationYou do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
