The Workers' Compensation Injury Management Advisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the injury management, rehabilitation and return to work planning processing for complex and specialist claims within the workers' compensation claims process.
This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective injury management strategies, compliance with regulations, and the support of injured workers throughout their recovery.
Key Responsibilities Injury Management:Develop and implement injury management programs that promote injured worker health and safety.Coordinate return-to-work programs for injured workers with complex needs.Work closely with medical professionals to monitor recovery progress.Ensure timely and accurate claims reporting and documentation.Analyse claim trends and recommend strategies for improvement.Compliance:Ensure compliance with applicable workers' compensation laws and regulations.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation.Stakeholder Collaboration:Act as a liaison between injured workers, management, and treatment providers.Provide guidance and training to case managers on workers' compensation complex claim injury management strategies, policies, and procedures.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present reports on claims data, trends, rehabilitation provider performance and program effectiveness to management.Use data analytics to identify areas for cost reduction and injury prevention.Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in allied health or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in workers' compensation, injury management, or a related field.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of medical terminology and occupational health practices.Work Environment This position typically operates in a blended work from home and office setting but may require occasional site visits.Flexibility in work hours may be required based on claims and employee needs.About DXC DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) helps global companies run their mission critical systems and operations while modernising IT, optimising data architectures, and ensuring security and scalability across public, private and hybrid clouds.
