Background The purpose of the COO Tech domain is to elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.
The top structure of COO Tech consists of four sub-departments, with several teams operating under their leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service Management, and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO).
You report hierarchically into the Lead Reporting & Insights (CDO).
Key Responsibilities The Lead Data & Reporting experts is responsible for delivering a unified standard set of reports. This is done through management of two core areas: a data ecosystem for CTO-owned data which is fed through a multitude of systems of record and a reporting ecosystem to develop and produce appealing, insightful, uniform, and actionable reports. Bottom to top lineage, common data sources, and uniform calculations and recognizability is key to secure adoption. The scope encompasses operational performance, risk, delivery, people, and delivery financials, but excludes client or product-related reports.
As the Lead Data & Reporting experts, you are responsible for building team capabilities, fostering growth and development, attracting, and retaining top talent, and driving career advancement within the international network.
For Data, the team owns product management for the internal data warehouse (I4C) and the Tech-Data Lake. This includes controlling the backlog, setting priorities, managing the budget, and allocating data and platform engineers.
It also encompasses development and execution of a long-term roadmap to optimize the ecosystem. The team is responsible for:
Data collection: ingesting Systems of Record (SoRs) into the data warehouse Data standardization: harmonizing the data Data consumption: enabling data access for reporting and delivery Data engineering: building and maintaining data pipelines Creating data marts/products: developing data products that meet end consumer needs For Reporting, the team will develop and manage standardized reporting and the overall reporting framework. The responsibilities include:
Defining the overall reporting framework Designing appealing and impactful reports for consumption Ensuring explicit quality management of reports and data Building and maintaining reporting views for end-users Steering the reporting backlog across CTO Requirements Experience Minimum 10 years' relevant senior-level professional experience required Proven strong background in data management, reporting, and analytics and deep understanding of the Tech landscape. Experience in creating impactful reports tailored for an audience. Working experience abroad is a plus.
