The Role
As part of our continued growth leading into 2025, Infravisory are seeking a Contract Administrator to initially be based in one of our key client's offices within the Brisbane CBD working on a landmark project.
As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful management and administration of contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Working closely with stakeholders, you will oversee contract execution, budgeting, procurement, and dispute resolution to support the smooth delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management: Prepare, review, and administer contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance withstandards.
Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and implement controls to meet financial targets while delivering high-quality outcomes.
Tendering & Procurement: Facilitate the tender process by preparing tender documentation, undertake tender evaluation and providing recommendations to senior management.
Payment Assessment: Manage valuations of completed work, assess contractor payment applications, and process payments per contractual and regulatory terms.
Contractual Claims and Variations: Carry out contractual entitlement and assessment of claims and variations, working closely with the Engineering team to understand scope and technical requirements.
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to fulfill contractual obligations and resolve disputes effectively.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate contract records and provide regular updates to key stakeholders on progress and changes.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise during project execution.
About You
We're looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional results in the infrastructure sector.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (mandatory).
A Master's Degree in Construction Law (highly regarded).
3-5 years of local experience working with Tier 1-3 Civil Contractors, with hands-on, on-site practical experience (mandatory).
Demonstrated experience working on large-scale Water, Rail, or Road projects (preferred).
Relevant professional memberships such as AIQS or RICS (preferred).
Must have the right to work in Australia.
Skills
Expertise in cost management and budget control, ensuring projects meet financial goals.
Proficiency in managing and assessing variations, as well as preparing and negotiating Extensions of Time (EOTs).
Ability to manage subcontractor and supplier agreements to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
Strong skills in risk management and mitigation strategies, with a deep understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
Technical proficiency in contract management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement processes.
Exceptional analytical abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex data to inform decisions.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, enabling seamless collaboration with project teams, clients, and contractors.
