Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Canberra, ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC
Contract Duration: 12 months with potential for extension

About the Role: A Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead key IT infrastructure initiatives, focusing on modern desktop environments. You will be responsible for managing a variety of critical projects, including migrating notebooks from Windows 10 to Windows 11, Intune auto-deployment, and replacing the notebook fleet.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with technical delivery teams, project sponsors, resource managers, and the Project Management Office to ensure successful project execution. You will also work with business stakeholders and external solution providers to drive project outcomes. Building strong relationships and leading complex IT projects will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities: Manage IT infrastructure projects following established project management principles and methodologies.Lead key initiatives, including Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration and Intune auto-deployment.Develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.Ensure projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget, with risks managed effectively.Build and lead motivated teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining focus on priorities.Coach and guide team members, applying agile and lean methodologies where appropriate.Proactively manage dependencies and overcome obstacles to deliver maximum value within constraints.Prepare reports, briefs, and project documentation in line with project management frameworks and reporting requirements.Manage risks, budgets, and people to ensure successful project outcomes.Must have: 8+ years of experience in Project Management, with a strong track record in delivering complex IT infrastructure projects.Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders and manage large-scale change processes.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver project outcomes.Experience with government procurement processes and managing vendors to achieve organizational objectives.Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to provide timely solutions and recommendations.Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen.Must hold or be willing to undergo Baseline security clearance through Pre-employment Screening.To be considered for the role click the 'apply' button or for more information about this and other opportunities please contact Brice Laravoire on 02 6151 9214 or email ****** and quote the above job reference number.
